On the afternoon of May 25, representatives of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN) of Brazil and the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center signed an accession agreement for the China-LAC Digital Education University Alliance. The two sides also held in-depth discussions on topics such as joint international talent cultivation, co-organization of overseas conferences, and overseas promotion and outreach, reaching multiple cooperation consensuses. The meeting was attended by José Arnóbio de Araújo Filho, Rector of IFRN; Francinaide de Lima Silva Nascimento, Vice Rector for Research, Graduate Studies and Innovation; Zhang Fanjing, Director of Office Administration of the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center; Yao Fang, Deputy Director of Office Administration of the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center.

During the exchange, Zhang Fanjing stated that the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center has long been committed to promoting in-depth cooperation between China and Latin America in areas such as scientific and technological exchanges, technology transfer, and economic development. Leveraging platforms such as the China-LAC Digital Education University Alliance and flagship events including the China-Latin America Technology Cooperation Development Conference and China-LAC Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program (Youth Innovation Camp), the Center serves the broader landscape of China-LAC "science and technology diplomacy" through comprehensive and diversified "people-to-people diplomacy" initiatives. José Arnóbio de Araújo Filho introduced that the institute leverages local resource advantages in education and possesses rich research resources in fields such as agriculture, aerospace and aviation. The institute will host a major conference this year on the theme of the internationalization of vocational education, and both sides look forward to exploring opportunities for co-organizing conferences and advancing more cooperative initiatives.

The attending representatives agreed that the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center and IFRN have significant complementary advantages and broad prospects for cooperation. They can strengthen collaboration in areas such as co-organizing overseas international conferences, enhancing platform visibility, and cultivating specialized talents. In the future, taking the signing of this accession agreement to the China-LAC Digital Education University Alliance as an opportunity, the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center will continue to expand cooperation channels for university-local and cross-border collaboration, deepen exchanges and cooperation with IFRN and other Chinese and Latin American institutions, activate the momentum of China-LAC science, education and innovation with tangible outcomes, and continuously strengthen the cultural and scientific foundations between China and Latin America.
