On February 27th, Li Xudong, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director-General of the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, led a delegation to conduct an on-site investigation at the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center (CLTTC). Leaders from the Dongguan Science and Technology Bureau and Dongguan University of Technology accompanied the visit, and representatives from the CLTTC delivered a special report.

The inspection team visited the CLTTC exhibition hall, gaining an in-depth understanding of the Center's establishment background, operational mechanisms, and work achievements since its inception. Li Xudong affirmed the CLTTC's work, noting that as a crucial part of the Greater Bay Area International Science and Technology Innovation Center, the CLTTC bears the mission of serving the national diplomatic agenda. It should fully leverage its platform advantages and continuously and substantively implement the new-era "China-LAC Science and Technology Partnership Program." He expressed hope that the Center would further integrate resources, improve mechanisms, strengthen think tank research support and international scientific collaboration, and promote deeper and more practical China-LAC technological cooperation.

The year 2026 is pivotal for the CLTTC to fully implement the new-era "China-LAC Science and Technology Partnership Program." The Center will continue to strengthen its role as a "bridgehead" for China-LAC scientific and technological cooperation, consistently deepen cooperation with Latin America, expand its multilateral collaboration network, and pragmatically broaden new pathways for high-quality China-LAC technological development.

In the future, under the overall guidance of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, and the Dongguan Science and Technology Bureau, the CLTTC will continue to improve its platform operation mechanism, expand its innovation collaboration network with Latin America, leverage overseas Chinese resources and various platform strengths, and actively participate in bilateral institutional meetings and major international sci-tech cooperation projects. Through higher-level scientific and technological cooperation, it aims to serve the national diplomatic agenda, help the country build a globally competitive open innovation ecosystem, and write a new chapter in building a China-LAC community with a shared future.
