China-LAC Technology Transfer Center (CLTTC) officially launched the "China-Latin America Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program and Innovation Tour in China for Latin American Young Scientists" in October 2024.

To implement the guidelines of the new phase "China-Latin America Science and Technology Partnership Plan" for strengthening sci-tech and people-to-people exchanges, and under the guidance of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, and the Dongguan Science and Technology Bureau, the CLTTC will hold the "2026 Latin America Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program and Innovation Tour in China for Latin American Young Scientists" (2026 Youth Camp) from January 11 to 25. The event will take place in Dongguan, the Hengqin-Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone (Hengqin), Zhuhai, Beijing, Chengdu, and other locations. Since recruitment began, the program received over a hundred applications and inquiries from 11 Latin American countries. Through joint recommendations from partner universities and research institutions, 15 outstanding young scientific and technological talents from 10 Latin American countries, including Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, and Cuba, were selected to gather in China for in-depth study and dialogue in the fields of science, technology, and humanities.

As a key component of the CLTTC's brand activity system of "One Conference, One Exhibition, One Competition," this 2026 Youth Camp adopts a comprehensive training model of "online cloud-based innovation and entrepreneurship training camp + offline Innovation Tour in China." It aims to create an integrated exchange platform combining "theoretical study, industrial research, cultural experience, and university exchanges".

The 2026 Youth camp is scheduled to officially commence in Hengqin on January 12. Participants will engage in five days of intensive learning on artificial intelligence theory and application in Hengqin. Subsequently, they will travel to Beijing, Chengdu, Dongguan, and other locations for a 10-day period of on-site industrial inspections and exchange meetings. This 2026 Youth Camp will effectively promote two-way exchanges between young Chinese and Latin American researchers, foster the sharing of scientific knowledge and resource alignment, deepen talent cultivation and technology transfer cooperation between China and Latin America, and contribute to the sustained development of a new era of China-LAC relations characterized by equality, mutual benefit, innovation, openness, and shared benefits.
