On November 14, the online seminar themed "Policies, Resources, and information Exchange on STlT to Promote Formal and Global Economic Growth" was successfully convened. Zhang Fanjing, Director of Office Administration of the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center, attended the meeting and delivered a keynote presentation titled "International Cooperation Pathways and Practical Experience of the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center," injecting fresh momentum into scientific collaboration and resource sharing across the Asia-Pacific region.
Jointly organized by the Department of Science and Technology of Sichuan Province, the Sichuan Science and Technology Exchange Center, the Sichuan Western Medicine Technology Transfer Center, and the International Technology Transfer Network (ITTN), the event was co-hosted by institutions including the Latin America Research Institute of the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center.
Against the backdrop of rapid advancements in global medical technology and deepening international cooperation, cross-border resource integration has emerged as a core driver of industrial innovation and market expansion. During the seminar, Zhang Fanjing emphasized that the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center is committed to building a new strategic platform for scientific innovation and technology transfer between China and Latin America, establishing an integrated ecosystem that combines research, education, commerce, and legal services. By continuously expanding overseas technology transfer and scientific collaboration networks, the Center aims to foster deeper cooperation in fields such as biomedicine and the digital economy, thereby tangibly supporting scientific and technological progress across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
It is reported that an offline international workshop under the same APEC theme is scheduled to be held in Chengdu, Sichuan, in August 2026. The event is designed to enhance cross-border medical technology collaboration through policy, resource, and information exchanges, while also establishing cooperative mechanisms and policy outcomes to strengthen regional networks.
Moving forward, the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center will uphold the principles of extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits, leveraging the opportunities presented by the APEC "China Year" to focus on scientific collaboration and technology transfer. By harnessing its institutional mechanisms and resource advantages, the Center will continue to strengthen international scientific cooperation, providing new technological momentum for building a community with a shared future for humanity.
