On April 10, You Shiyou, Deputy Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Center of Dongguan Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Li Shaochan, Section Chief of the Foreign Investment Promotion Center of Dongguan Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Sun Yuan, General Manager of Dongguan High-Tech Product Exhibition Center, and their entourage visited the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center. They held a cooperation exchange with representatives including Chen Baijia, General Manager of Shenzhen Zhongla Operation Management Co., Ltd., Huang Qiongli and Yao Zeyi, Project Directors of the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center, to jointly explore new space for China-Latin America scientific and technological economic and trade cooperation.

During the exchange, Huang Qiongli stated that the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center practically serves the overall national diplomatic work and scientific and technological innovation deployment. It strives to build a "bridgehead" for China-Latin America technology transfer and scientific and technological cooperation, actively constructs a collaboration network for such cooperation, and deepens China-Latin America scientific and technological economic and trade cooperation by relying on platforms such as the China-Latin America and the Caribbean Countries Trading Platform and the Guangdong China-LAC Technology Cooperation Association (in preparation). It serves as an important window to facilitate the precise connection of Dongguan's "Intelligent & Excellent Products" with the Latin American market and extensive links to the world.

You Shiyou noted that Dongguan Municipal Bureau of Commerce is actively preparing for a visit to Latin America in the middle of this year. To support Dongguan enterprises in "going global" and deepen industrial cooperation between China and Latin America, the bureau will provide subsidies for venue rent and decoration expenses for institutions that set up overseas exhibition centers for the "Made in Dongguan" brand. It hopes to explore the feasibility of jointly establishing an overseas exhibition hall for Dongguan products by relying on the mature collaboration network of the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center in Brazil, helping Dongguan enterprises efficiently explore the Latin American market with policy dividends.

The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges and reached preliminary consensus on matters including the preparation for the Latin America visit, the launch of overseas exhibition halls, and policy application docking. In the future, the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center and Dongguan Municipal Bureau of Commerce will strengthen coordination, give full play to the advantages of the national-level platform network and local policy support effects, promote more high-quality products and advanced technologies from Dongguan to land in Latin America, and inject new impetus into deepening China-Latin America economic, trade and scientific and technological cooperation and serving the high-quality development of Dongguan's open economy.
