Dongguan University of Technology's School of Literature and Media Explores Cooperation in Regional and Country Studies with the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center

On October 15, a delegation from the School of Literature and Media at Dongguan University of Technology (DGUT), led by Dean Zheng Jian and Deputy Party Secretary Liu Jiachang, visited the China-LAC Technology Transfer Center (CLTTC) for discussions. Both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on deepening cooperation in regional and country studies, reaching multiple consensus points. Representing CLTTC were Executive Director Chen Baiman, along with Lu Bing and Zhou Chang from the Latin America Research Institute of the CLTTC (Latin America Research Institute).

During the meeting, Chen Baiman systematically introduced CLTTC's strategic positioning, development history, and ecosystem development. He stated that the Latin America Research Institute, as a key think tank for CLTTC, conducts forward-looking policy research to provide theoretical support for building a closer, more efficient, and mutually beneficial China-LAC science, technology, and innovation partnership. He expressed the hope to deepen cooperation with SLM in regional and country studies, combine efforts in policy research, and jointly serve the broader national diplomatic agenda.

Zheng Jian spoke highly of the achievements made by CLTTC and its Latin America Research Institute in strategic research and related areas, expressing his anticipation for enhanced collaboration between the two institutions. Following thorough discussions, preliminary consensus was reached on exploring long-term cooperation mechanisms, jointly conducting policy research, and strengthening discipline construction and talent cultivation.

Moving forward, CLTTC and the School of Literature and Media will further deepen their collaboration, fully leverage their respective strengths, and integrate academic resources and platform capabilities to continuously explore new avenues for cooperation in regional and country studies, which aims to provide robust policy support and intellectual contributions for scientific and technological collaboration with Latin American countries.
